  1. I just bought a dvd writer for my laptop off ebay, I want to check if it has the technical specs, like drive speed, burning speed etc, that the seller said it would have. How would do I do that?? What software do I use?

    Google is your friend.
Search for the Make/Model of the burner.
Or try the manufacturers website (although if it's no longer in production it might be hard to find info on it there.)

  5. DVDInfoPro is also likely to give you the info that you want.
