help creating audio dvd please on sony dav-dz100

ok i hope someone can help here as im wasting lots of disk.
i have a sony dav-dz100 dvd plarer and i can make audio cds and audio mp3 cdrs that play on my dvd player no problem .but when i use nero or other software to create an mp3 dvd the dvd player cant read the disk . is there something im doing wrong ?

would converting the mp3s to ac3 work ? and if so is there some simple software to allow me to do a batch mp3 to ac3 conversion ?

Player might be looking for DVD or DVD Audio spec disc, while it's programmed to look for varied content on CD. Not sure if ac3 would make any difference -- not the only audio format used. See http://www.thedigitalbits.com/officialfaq.html for more info
