I'm, setting up new account on an existing machine that previously only had one account. Trouble is that the start menu contains a lot of shrortcuts that apparently reside in the ALL Users account, deleting them deletes from both accounts.

How do I make them seperate.

Nevermind, I just dcopied all the shortcuts from the All User Account to the one I wanted all the shorcuts in.

When a new app is installed now does the shortcut go to every users personal shortcuts? or the all users shortcuts?

If it goes to the all users how do you prevent someone from deleting it from your desktop?

Where the shortcuts go is really up to the application. Multi-user aware appliactions will usually give you the option of installing for just this user, or for all users. Othersoftware will go one way of the other and give you no control. You just have to go and tidy up afterwards.
