My main goal is to have the Channels Change on my Digital Cable Box,When I set a Recording.

Anyone have any suggestions on a Remote that will do this?

    Thanks..

I wouldn't assume. Why not ask the guru?

    With or Without GB-PVR.

  6. If your question is "Will the Microsoft Remote Control (for MCE) work with Windows XP (without MCE)" I'm pretty sure the answer is yes. Before I loaded WMC, I purchased 2 remotes and the IR transceiver. I still use them with Meedio and Media Portal. However, I never tried to use the included extension of the IR remote for changing cable box channels. But I am pretty sure it can be programmed to do so.

All of the media center remote controls that I have seen require MCE.

Check out "IR Blaster". Best to do it in the context of the software you want to use or you are into driver writing to make the hardware functional.
