hello again
i just did a conversion from sub/idx to srt, but now my movie shows double subtitles, as shown in the screenshot.

how come i have this problem? and if i burn it to dvd right now with vso divxtodvd, will it have the same problem?

Two subtitle renders I would say. Since as far as I know divxtodvd uses libavcodec/format and not dshow for input it shouldn't be effected.

He didn't say what he was using to play the AVI. Looks to me like he's got one set of subs from DirectVobSub, and another from the player's internal subs engine. If he turns off the player generated subs, he'll be back to a single set of subs. And I agree that there will be no problem with the conversion to DVD.
yeah, you guys are both right, i just had to turn off the subs in bs player (thats what i use) and then it went back to one set, i also encoded it again to srt and then divx to dvd took care of the rest
