    I have a Ridata DVD+RW that I wrote an xvid.avi file on. There was a problem in finalizing the disc, though all the data is there, and, it plays on my home DVD console. But when I try to physically erase it using Nero, it doesn't recognize the disc as an "rewritable." Is there any way to erase this disc, or, is it now a "write-once" disc, that plays only on my computer, or, my home DVD player?

    DVDDecrypter has an erase function.

    Herr Hech;

    Until you two posted, I did not know that decyrpter had an erase function, then again, until recently, I'd never used "rewritables."
    But decyrypter read, and, seemingly erased the disc I orginaly wrote about, plus another that Nero did not seem to be able to finish erasing.
    Thanks for the help. Obviously this what these forums are for.
    'Dawgs; I looked at DVDinfopro, but the fee the developer asks, plus the other functions of it, made me not want to investigate it. Thanks anyway. Maybe some Denver sports team will have some success this year. The Broncs don't seem to be having much.
