movie length ?

what's the best way to check the movie length people ? i need the exact time of the movie to config the codec.

can we trust this ?

Hi vgt,

If you are familar with GraphEdit you can render your file without clocks (to be as fast as possible) and after that take a look at Video Renderer Property page. It will count all the video frames.

Being that your source is a DVD or MPEG-2 (hence your use of DVD2AVI or one of its later predecessors to frameserve via a D2V file), the IFO will tell you the exact running time. I'd open the IFO in IFOEdit and grab it from there. Failing that, if by chance you have one big VOB, you could use the latest GSpot Beta (2.52) an it will tell you the number of frames, the framerate and the total running time.

the AC3 tells me 2:11:38 as the picture shown above but when i convert AC3 to MP3 and the mp3 file tells me 2:14:00 what's wrong ?
