Can anyone help me?

I am very new to converting and followed a guide here on videohelp. I started with gspot to make sure that all my codecs were there, i then went on use virtualdub for the audio extraction, things were going well i thought. I encoded it using mainconcept, i used Blaze Media Pro to authorise it and burn it. When i played it on my dvd, the opening title came up then went black, the audio was okay though. Thought someone could tell me where i went wrong.
