    my dvd player may play dvd+r but not dvd-r's???

    just something to clarify a little problem im having

    Its usually the reverse. -r tend to have a higher readabiltiy factor than +r (but on newer plays there really isn't much a difference anymore).

    Just try a different brand disc or another disc from the same pack.

    It's possible.

    It's also possible that your dvd player will play a certain brand (read: media code) of DVD+Rs, but not another brand of DVD+Rs. Welcome to the world of DVD burning !

    See if you can find your player in the DVD Players link to your left, and see what media code and format others have had success with.
    If in doubt, Google it.
