Thank you, the permanent source/target is a good idea and I'm adding your sketches to my suggestion box. Series 0.0.x will not go into further GUI changes, as I'm concentrating all important evolutions into 1.0.x, which will be extremely different than 0.0.x.

Good to hear. If I could get the current ffmpegX Interface Builder .nib file I could just copy and paste some of the more, eh, lengthy lists, etc. Thanks for the compliment!
