Right now I am making back-up copies of my dvds so my brother can take some wtih him to college and so I will still be able to watch them. Right now the software I am using is DVD X Copy, but it keeps having errors and will lock-up, so I just tried CloneDVD2 and that doesn't burn DVDs that are copy-protected. What DVD software would you suggest for copying DVDs (and some that are copy-protected). Is there any that are easy to use, because I am new to DVD copying.

    Thanks.

    yes.

-Decrypters rip movie to your computer.
-Dvd shrink will fit the movie to a dvdr, save as ISO file
-Then use dvddecrypter to burn the ISO to the dvd

Is there a way that isn't as complicated, these seems pretty hard. Will the programs give me step by step instructions? Hope you can help.

    Thanks.

You only need 2 programs - DVDShrink and DVDDecrypter

Use DVDShrink to compress file to size that will fit on DVDR and write ISO file to hard-drive.

Use DVDDecrypter to burn ISO file to DVDR.

It is a very simple process and if you have 2 DVD drives then you can just put the source DVD in one drive and the blank DVD in the other. Start up DVDShrink and if you set it up correctly it will shrink, write to hard-drive, automatically start up DVDDecrypter with no intervention required. If you don't have 2 drives then you will be prompted to remove the source DVD and insert the blank DVDR.

Read the guides at this site. It is really not that difficult.
