Which camcorder is better? Sony DCR-HS90 or Canon Elura90? I am concerned about Canon because I have had problems with the 8 and hi8 camcorder. Is the Elura90 good as far as durability is concerned? I had tape loading problems with the Canon camcorder I owned.

Are Sony minidv camcorders better made than Canon? Please tell me your experiences. I would like to buy a camcorder as soon as possible because I would like to use it to film my baby boy.

I do not have experience with either of the camcorders you are looking at but I suggest you also take a look at the Panasonic PV GS250, which costs about the same as the DCR H90. It is a 3 ccd camera that is getting good reviews.

I used Consumer Reports, camcorderinfo, cnet and dvspot as sources of information. There were a few other sites but I do not remember them. Newegg is selling the PV GS250 for $738.

    Happy hunting!
