region free for Samsung HT-p38

Hi, Can anybody help me with making Samsung HT p38 home theater system region free. I bought it in USA and doesn't play the DVDs in India.

Also i get an error "Invalid format" with few VCDs, though it can play some of them. Any help?

Have you tried firmware changes for your Player? You'll find a substantial collection of firmware hacks at http://www.rpc1.org. Alternatively, you can use DVD Region+CSS Free which costs about $40.

I've no idea with the VCD problem, though.

Thanks for the info, but can you please guide me how to upgrade firmware for a home theatre system.
The other option only worls with software DVD players on a computer. Wont be of much help to me.
I think there is some sequence of keys to be pressed on remote/DVD player by which it becomes region free.
Do u have any idea on the same.
