    Hello,

    I have a Philips DVD player 727.

    when i copy the AVI and MPG file to a CD-R as data type, then my DVD player can play it, But when I copy the same file to a DVD-r as data type, My DVD player can not play ! could some on help me ? is it a problem of DVD player or another problem ?

    According to the info on DVD players on this site the 727 doesn't play AVIs. Are you sure of the info you have provided so that someone can help?

    Not all standalone players with Divx or file playing capabilities can playback from s aDVD. Some will only playback these files from a CD. Same with some players and MP3. Not so bad now, but a lot of older players have these restrictions.
