Please help me, I have a Sony dvp-ns405 dvd-player and I was trying to burn an IMG-file to a dvd. I started out with a DVD-R(dash) disk and when I placed the disk in my dvdplayer it said that the disk was "dirty". I read on a forum that I should try a DVD-R (plus) disk instead, I did that but it says the same thing. I've tried to burn with Nero 6 Ultra and DVD-Encrypter but nothing works.

What should i do, any suggestions?

My Sony DVD changer gives me a disc dirty error whenever I author a DVD beyond about 4.2 GB. I know it sounds weird, but if I stay below 4.2 GB I never have a problem... It took a while to figure this out!

None of my other DVD players have this problem.

Ok, so there is really nothing i can do to solve this problem? I forgot to say that the disk doesn't work on my computer either, sure i can watch the vob-files in VLC-media player but thats it. My computer doesn't recognize the disk as a dvd it seems.

*EDIT* Can it be that the img is damaged or something? could that give my error message

what was the media rated burn speed? did you possible forget to set the
burn speed within the media's limit when you burned it? just a thought.
i've done it a couple of times with the resulting coasters.
I said I'll be done in a minute. I meant a Microsoft minute.

Ok, i tried to burn a diffrent IMG. Success! hahaha marvelous Anyhow, it must have been the other IMG that was somehow messed up or something cause now it works.
Thanks to all of you who answered and tried to help out.

  8. as for now, get used to it. Try & find a rut man, (media, rip * burns) that runs smooth & works GREAT for your player.
