  1. Hi,
I have all rar files of a divx movie. When I join them with winrar, it says 1 file is corrupted. The poster only provide the .sfv file, no par files. Is it possible to fix the corrupted rar file with the sfv file?

    Nope!

To repair you need par files. sfv files are used to tell you WHICH rar is bad out of a set; merely for consistency.

  3. You could always try and repair a single file. If the person packing it was nice, he/she enabled it. As stated above, the only purpose of an SFV file is to tell you which file of the archive is bad.

  4. This may or may not address your question. Sometimes there may be additional PAR2 data files, but no PAR2 control file, only an SFV. The actual Data files generally start with a "Vol00+1" file. Check to see whether the first Data file is a "Vol00+0" file. If you have the "+0" file, you can use it in place of the customary PAR2 'control' file. Open QuickPar with the "+0" file and, assuming you have sufficient Data parts, it will evaluate and repair the damage as normal.
