    I just ordered the JVC-MH30S today from Crutchfield. I really couldn't decide between this and the Pioneer so I have decided to get the JVC-MH30S and Pioneer 633.

    I'd like to thank you all for your help. With so many decisions to make, this forum has been a big help.

    For encoding and recording quality - JVC DR-MH30 is an excellent choice!
    I personally very pleased with this recorder regardless of its unfriendly user interface (which is very minor issue). Other than that – perfect machine. Enjoy it and good luck!
