    I am interested in this card to capture my Hi8 movies and burn them into DVDs. I am in the US and I know that this card is also a TV tuner.
    Here is the deal - I don't care so much about th tuner, but my Hi8 movies are all in PAL.

    Assuming the card that is sold in the US is NTSC, will I still be able to capture PAL Hi8 movies?

    Yes. If using the composite or s-video inputs, the card can read PAL and write the mpg to your hard drive.
    It only has an NTSC only tuner for TV.
