  1. I got some .3gp video files, and like to play them on my computer.

Are there codecs (splitters and/or directshow filters) that I can install in order to play these files in Windows Media Player?

Or do I have to use a specific player like RealPlayer or Quicktime?

Does the quality differ with different players?

    Thanks in advance.

haali's mkv/mp4/avi splitter and ffdshow (for h.263/h.263+ and amr decoding) should work.

mplayer, VLC, osmo4 should also work if you wanted an all in one type solution.

  3. You could download the free 3GP player from Philips. Do a google on 3GP players. Maybe you will find a player on the Nokia web site also. If you (or one of your friends) have a Nokia phone that has Video recording, then the phone will have come with a CD that has an installable player.
