Downloading it was no problem at all: your link brings up the Save box in FireFox 3.6; it also shows up for d/l with Orbit. Playing it seemed to be the issue. WMP-HC says "Cannot Render File." VLC plays the video, although there is no sound. But there are a lot of other players. I think GOM may support RM, but I did not try that. I wouldn't allow Real Player on my system again, and probably not Real Alternative, either -- unless there is a fully portable version of it around somewhere.

I'm unfamiliar with whatever a vevo is . . . but, for cases where you must be downloading from "Country X", wouldn't a proxy i.p. address from that country get around this, even if it does introduce some d/l speed penalty ?

part of a deal between Google and several major record labels to promote Vevo which is a music platform run by those record labels. The differences become apparent right away. Vevo is not available in all countries. Most music videos were viewable by all users at Youtube but Vevo locks out everyone who is not coming from the United States. This is currently not such a big problem as all music videos are still available at Youtube.

  8. How can I save this video (it looks like you can get the same vid on 2 different pages). Looks like you might have to press play on the screen of the first link to get it to play (the video after the ad obviously)

I tried keepvid.com and Firefox's Download Helper to no avail. I even tried recording it via Tunebite but it looked so bad I didn't even bother to convert & burn it to disc.

I have Vista. Thanks in advance for the replies.

  9. Does anyone know of a Chrome compatible video dowloader that will allow me to Q up multiple download and to choose my hard drive destination? I am willing to pay for it if it a goodone. If I have to choose between the two, targetting my external hard drive would be my priority. Thank you!

    Hi,

Please let me know if this is possible:

To not only record off of flash sites like zonein.tv or wii-cast, but to set it up ahead of time to record (assuming I have the URL, of course)?

I recently took a job where I'm missing a lot of sports that I used to watch on such sites during the day, and to be able to set up recording times in advance on flash streaming sites would help me tremendously. Thanks a lot in advance!
