Following one of the guides for DVD to AVI named as AutoGK ILLUSTRATED GUIDE 4 dummies (DVDtoAVI) v.3 by dap & js given in the DVD Media section of this site, I started implementing the first step of the tutorial i.e., Ripping a DVD. I used DVD Decrypter for this purpose. At 94% status of ripping the DVD, the follwing error window was displayed.

I retried a lot of times, also ignored a lot of times, but it's becoming too worse everytime. Finally, I pressed Abort. It asked to delete the incompletely ripped file. I clicked 'yes', so finally lost one of the VOB files to be ripped off.

What to do in order to rip that last VOB file. Pls help !!!

An I/O error usually indicates that the disc cannot be read due to being dirty or smudged or that the disc has a scratch.

Try cleaning the disc and re-ripping.
