I'm working on a audio DVD project for a friend, converting a compilation of mp3s gathered over the years to wav files & buring to both DVD & CD-R.
I've converted all the mp3s to wav, applied wavgain to them to normalize gain levels then used dbpoweramp to resample from 44.1 to 48hz to burn onto the DVD. I also burned the wav to CD-Rs as audio CD. But when playing them back, all the tracks sound "slowed down" on the CD-Rs.
What caused this, & what can I do to fix? Does converting from 44.1 to 48 cause this? I'm stumped

CD audio should only be 44,100 sample rate.

ok, so then re-sampling back down to 44.1 should fix? I can do that fairly easily w/ dbpoweramp. Thanks for your response.

  5. But 44.1khz won't be dvd spec.
When "converting" your mp3's to .wav, go directly to 48khz.

He's having problems with creating an audio CD, not a DVD. The standard for a CD is 44.1ksps.
