  1. Ave,

Just a question. I have a 352 X 288 MPEG file. I want to encode it to an NTSC DVD. What's the best way to do this? I know that NTSC needs 704 X 480 or 720 X 480 resolution, but encoding a 352 X 288 would stretch it enormously and probably cause distortion or something. Is there any other way?

    Thanks,
    Mickey

    Ave,

Yes i have seen that setting, but somehow won't that look too odd.. width is less then height, it would be like a "longscreen" format... how would that look on a normal 4:3 TV ?

    Thanks,
    Mickey

It will look perfect when played back on TV or in DVD player software, no need to worry. The aspect ratio is still 4:3.
Btw, dont know if this is important, but it could be next time you encounter a 352x288 video: I guess you already noticed that only 720x480 supports 16:9, so if your 352x288 file has black borders to make it look like 16:9, and you want to remove those borders and encode as real 16:9 you HAVE to use 720x480.
