DVP642 firmware 1223?

I just bought the Philips DVP642 from CompUSA and I believe you press 5, 6 , 9 OK to check the firmware. Mines says Ver 1223. Is this the right firmware page? Because I thought the only versions were 0531 and 1109.

The official Firmware updates from Philips are in order of release:
0531
1109
0112

I believe these are the dates when they were released, with the first 2 released in 2004 and the last in January of 2005.

This 1223 must represent December 23, 2004 and is the name of the firmware that was installed in the factory before the 0112 came out.

Not that it matters, all of the known versions suffer from the same problems. The only differences have been in subtitle support.

And now we can all hopefully await the next firmware update...one which will support the new DivX 6 Media Format (real menus, longer file names, etc.).

Well, I just picked one up at Wal-Mart (shipping date was 26 June 2005) and it has the same info that hellsaint's does.

Haven't noticed any differences yet.

Can anyone confirm whether there was faster FF/FR with the 0531 firmware?

I swear that I remember being able to go the "standard" 2x,4x,6x,8x with my (S)VCDs.
