I've Nero full edition and I don't seem to find anywhere in the program for me to crate an iso without the actual burning?

The only way I can create an iso file/image is when doing CD to CD copying, as Nero would create a temp iso file/image in my HD (and I select not to delete that temp iso file/image after copying), however now I just want to create an iso file/image from a CD and save it on my HD and burn it later. Thanks for your help in advance.

In nero choose recorder/choose recorder/image recorder and then do a copy, when you want to burn then select your burner in the recorder options and double click on the xxx.nrg file nero produced and burn away.

The newer nero lets you select your burner from a display without having to go into any options.

    Thanks Johns0, got it.

While creating the image file, I got 1)CD is protected 2)Unrecoverable read error at 37:26:27.... then burn successfully completed with Warnings! For 1)I guess because I was making a backup of copy of my new video card installation CD, so it's OK how about 2)? Thanks again.

Read error mean nero couldnt copy a proper image and your backup might not work ok,depends on what wasnt copied.Try and clean the disc and try again and maybe copy at a lower speed rate.

    Thanks Johns0.

Ok, using the .nrg image created, I burned 1 CD and:

Using CD-DVD speed to test the newly created CDs:
    1st run/test
    Files:100% OK Errors:0
    Surfacescan:99.81% OK Damaged:0.19% Unreadable:0%

    2nd run/test
    Files:100% OK Errors:0
    Surfacescan :100% OK Damaged:0% Unreadable:0%

Are these tests normal? how come one test got little damaged and 2nd test no damaged? Thanks again.

Nero isnt the most reliable for scan testing, best just to test the whole cd out.
