DVD compatiblity

Hi, I'm having a problem with some standalone players not playing my
Ritek 8x DVD+R MEDIA. I use a Liteon 5005 recorder to master a DVD
using s-video(HQ mode) in from my non-linear system(20-30 min video). Once recorded and finalized I then test it on my standalnoe Sony DVP-NS315(nice unit, 2004) player. If it plays well(some DVD-r's were freezing and switched to +) I then burn about 20 copies using a new Sony DRX-710UL up to 16x. I have now had the second complaint on not playing.
I need help!!
Is it media, me or equipment?

It doesn't matter what media you use, there will be a player out there in someones living room that refuses to play it (unless you have them pressed by a pro replication house). Just accept it as part of your business and offer those customers a refund.

I suppose you could make both a +r and a -r version. If one doesn't work the other one might do.
