  1. I have a movie that I want cut scenes out of and I am using Nandub. Most of the time I have no problems except with some movies (as is the case with this particular one) I receive the above message when opening the file and after editing and trying to save the edited avi I get an error saying the following

"The source video stream uses a compression algorithm which is not compatible with AVI files. Direct Stream Copy cannot be used with this video stream."

    Help plz.

  3. Hi-

Have you tried VDubMod for the job instead? I have no idea what that message means, assuming you're trying to split up only AVI files.

  4. NanDub is notoriously offensively unacceptably picky about the kinds of input files it will deal with. IMHO NanDub is crapware. Chuck it and try VDubMod or some other program. I've had nothing but trouble with NanDub.

I've seen this before in VDub, and isn't that just saying that you can't use Direct Stream Copy on this file, so you have to use Full Processing or the Recompress modes ?
    If in doubt, Google it.
