  1. I have a video from DVD in which I took out/cut a scene. I used TMPGEnc DVD Author to do it and the file that I edited was a .VOB file that TMPGEnc reported as an MPEG 2 file. My question is, when I load, edit, and then re-save the .VOB file does TMPGEnc decode and re-encode it? If not, is there still any video quality loss in the process?

    tmpgenc dvd author does not reencode/transcode/convert any video.
