Fairuse wizard(2 questions)

Hi everyone.
Afetr sspending some months trying dvd/divx conversion tools, i think i finnally found the best one(fairuse wizard),it lets me crop the black bars and position the subtitles anywhere on the cropped video,most tools put the subtitles on the black borders.
But....(there's alwayss a but!)

1 questiion: when encoding i come across an option to make the video anamorphic like the option on dr divx,but after encoding it and playing it on a media player(wmp,divx player,realplayer etc) the picture looks stretched a lot,can anyone tell me why this happens?, i thougt it would play in a letterboxed mode.

2 question: i tried converting without making it anamorphic and it plays ok.
if i do it this way will it the picture fill the whole screen in a widescreen tv.when i play the video in a dvd/divx player?
