DVDx can't rip my dvd movie

this error is showen when i am traying to decode a dvd movie "MPEG2Dec: error during decoder initialisation"
this is the first time i ever see this msg
what can i do

did u make sure to play the dvd in your dvd-rom drive for a couple of secs before u starting to rip?

y do i need to play it first?!?
i did like 100 rips in my life and i never hed
a problem with DVDx
i never played the movie first in my dvd-rom
and it was riping very nice

errr....interesting..but normally u're suppose to play the dvd in your dvd-rom drive first so your dvd ripping proggie can unlock it.....

like poopyhead said play it for a cuople of mins and dont play the extras and stuff like that, play the main movie for a cuople of mins and it is unlocked

i don't think you need to play the actual movie...i've been able to unlock the drive just by letting the dvd play for a couple of secs during the FBI warning page...
