Nero Info Tool freezes (and freezes CDRW drive)

Fresh Install of everything, including OS, with all the latest patches, aspi drivers, firmware, etc. The Aopen drive just freezes when I open the Nero Info Tool and it also doesn't detect blank CDRs. It seems to burn OK and play audio CDs. I've looked all over...HELP!

I too have had problems with Nero Info Tool. I have a Lite-On Dvd-rom drive and a Sony DRU-500A dvd burner. Whenever I try to run the Info Tool on any dvd media, whether blank or burned, the Info Tool detects both drives and then says that there is no media present. After this, the tool just hangs and I can't even close the application even with the assistance of the Task Manager, I have to do a reboot to close the program.

I hope someone can shed some light on this as the tool is basically rendered useless in this state. Any advice is appreciated.
