vcdeasy shuts down on startup

i just installed vcdeasy 2.1.1. it shuts down about 10 seconds after i start it.i was wondering if it has a conflict with other software.anybody help?thanks.

What was your fix as I am having a similar problem?

Found my VCDEasy problem. VCDEasy would error out during startup
with kernel protection fault and indicate entry error in MSDXM.OCX.
Come to findout, MSDXM.OCX is part of Windows Media Player. I uninstalled
WMP and reinstalled. I noted the file size to be considerably larger than
the old version. Anyway, tried restarting VCDEasy and it worked with the
WMP reinstall.
