how do i edit an mpeg?? using Vdub mpeg..

i need to remove some commercials from some shows i captured in mpeg format.

i downloaded virtual dub mpeg..to do just that i open the video file i choose direct stream copy in audio and video BUT every time i try to save the edited mpeg i get an error message saying it isnt an AVI...

help how do i use virtual dub mpeg??

you can't, virtualdub-mpeg2 or virtualdubmod can only open mpeg2 it cannot not save it using direct stream copy.
