I can make the computer automatically turn on by setting BIOS. The password for the windows administrator has to be blank for automatically log into windows. If I set any password other than balnk, it will be waiting for the password there and will not be able to log into windows automatically.

I can make the computer automatically turn off by setting shutdown.exe in windows scheduler. But it works only when the administrator's password is NOT blank.

Does anyone know a solution to automatically turn on and turn off computer?

  2. Get TweakUI for XP.
    Set your password.
    Set up scheduler.
Set tweakui to log on automatically.
