I want to get a good LCD Monitor ... okay how about a decent LCD Monitor ... for gaming.

I currently have a Proview Flat Screen 19" but I am going to be building a AMD 3000 XP 64 Bit System soon .... with a ATI AIW 9800 Pro video card.

The video has 128 Mb of video ram.

So ... what are some choices to choose from. I saw a ViewSonic at BestBuy with Half Life 2 ... playing .... looked great.

A 19" inch would be cool but I believe the price is not cool.

I noticed my Proview 19" has a distance from bottom left corner to top right corner of 18" inches.

Can anybody say anything good about the ...

Nothing beats a CRT monitor for gaming and movies too. The only advantage of LCD and Plasma screens is the weight and depth.

I'm a little skeptical of Balance brand, but I don't know who makes their monitors. I would do a little more research into the monitor. At least Google the model and see if there are any reviews out there. That is a good price and a good spec if it holds up in real life.

    Here's a good article on gaming LCD's, though. http://www.d-silence.com/feature.php?id=249

And for LCD 19" monitors, this Phillips model has a response time of 12ms:http://www.newegg.com/app/viewproduc...133-147&DEPA=0

CRTs are generally faster, but not all people have the room for a 19" CRT, besides, you can heat a room with them.
