Making words/pics appear when a button is selected in encore

Thanks to everyone who helped me out on my last encore issue. However now I've got another. I fully understand the highlighting of buttons using photoshop, but does anyone know how I can have writing or pictures appear when a particular button is selected?

For example, I have a picture which has several buttons on it, when selected these buttons highlight, but you can't tell what they actually do, so I want descriptions to appear when the button is selected (as well as the highlighting).

Any help would be much appreciated.

I have text appearing now, just making it a 100% layer, so that's fine, still need news on the picture situation.

Before exporting the movies I checked "always deinterlace" on all the titles and this seemed to fix the problem.
