Do you mean a stand-alone DVD player, or a DVD-ROM drive in a computer? If you mean a DVD-ROM, then you could just burn the four files using nero onto one DVD, and they could be viewed in Media Player, or whatever.
If you mean a stand-alone player, then you'd have to convert the avis to DVD-compliant format (there are good tutorials on this site in the guides section), and then burn them to DVD, although I don't think you would be able to get them onto a single 4.7 GB DVD, since avis are usually in a compressed format, and take up a lot more space when converted.

Well, if authoring is not your goal, you should try Honestech Ultralong DVD... it calculates the bitrate according the time of all clips and burns the DVD in 1 pass...
and you will be able to put + 4 hours of movie/clip in 1 media.

  5. thanks fred (i downloaded Honestech Ultralong DVD shareware...) but it has been 10 hrs now that i am making the file still didn't burn yet.................(+ it was only 6 hrs of media....)

is it normal that it takes so much time??? thanks!

Also Does it reencode them to fit on tv nicely (like anime. that are overscanned /burning them as data cd / will using Honestech Ultralong DVD correct it? ...)

the time conversion depends basically in your computer's cpu power... BUT it is normal, if you have 6 hours of movie...

actually, i know honestech but never did a try, because after downloading I realize that it does only the conversion and has not authoring tools I was looking for... but the movie was converted ok... As I told, as long the movie is, lower the bitrate will be and the quality becomes worse...
this is mathematic... more time = less quality...

    Good luck.
