    I have seen a Region 1 DVD that I am thinking of ordering but just wanted to check that it will play on my my DVD player. My player is multi-region and I have not had a problem with region 1 discs but this particular DVD is described as Region 1 AC3. Will this still play okay ?

    generally yes, but however, watch out for some dvds which incoporate RCE (Region Code Enhancment) protection designed to prevent playback on some multi region dvd players. (players that have region set to region 0).
