  1. Yes I know 15gb of Mpeg2 video will not fit on a 4.7 or 8.5 disk, but I would like to create the files needed for DVD anyway (vobs , etc).

Tmpeg Author reminds that the content is too big for a disk, but I would like it to go ahead and write the content to hard drive (video_ts,etc). It gets half way through and stops , saying its too big for a DVD disk (even though I said OK , when it warned me before I started).

The reason for doing this, is that I want to use DVD shrink to analyze the Tmpenc DVD author output and see what it can fit onto 1 or 2 disks from this one mpeg.

Do I have to use the Tmpeng converter first ? Is there a work around for DVD Author?

    thanks, zep

The Max size for a DVD is ~8.5 Gigs as this is what you can fit onto a DV DVD. If your source files are bigger than this you will need to re-encode with a lower bitrate first.
