    I have a dvd727 and it works great but does not support divx I dont' think. The dvp624 does so I just wonder, have anyone heard anything or know if we could take the firmware of a dvp624 on a dvd727 and pretty much upgrade it to a dvp624??

    Not possible, it doesn't have a divx decoder chip.
