    Why is it that some dvd-r will play back on my laptop but some of my dvd-r wont play back on my laptop. All of my dvd-r are in very good condition with no scratches and my dvd-rom is perfectly clean... Whats the deal? All of my dvd-r will play back on a stand alone player....

    Different dvd-r media brands?
    Can you browse the media using explorer? or does it say no media?
