    Certain DIVX Movies on my DVP 642 will only play like 10-15 seconds before skipping to the next track.

    Yeah, but the tracks are only 10 seconds long, right ? Badump, CRASH !


    Examine the files that skip with GSPOT and look for similarities, especially audio settings. See if they share differences with tracks that don't skip.
