DVD-R may have messed up DVD Player!?

Can anyone tell me what could cause this problem. I have a KOSS KS3120-2 DVD Player and put a DVD-R disc inside (works on 2 other DVD Players) and I have picture but really low sound (So low that the TV has to be on full blast to know that a little bit of sound is coming through). I took it out and put in a normal DVD now they're all doing that. Was working when I used it on other DVD's a couple days ago! HELP. Thanks.

also make sure you didnt switch the audio out options , like turn off the digital out or something .. go through the set up menu and check everything ..

I checked all the settings (There's not many). Can a DVD-R do this to a DVD Player or is it a coincidence?

well i once played a svcd on a apex 1200 and got a no media present error and it would never play another svcd after that -- but would play everything else..

so im not going to say its impossable, though seems highly unlikely ..

Your dvd lens are dirty ,but if you purchase a good dvd lens cleaner like Discwasher it might wind up costing more than the dvd player itself ,remember good things are not cheap and cheap things are not good .If I were you I would toss the koss (no punt intended) and get a brand name like panasonic or sony etc.
