problem burning CD-R

hello friends,

iam having nero 6 burning software on trial. for couple of days it was doing fine. but i tried to burn an .avi file which i converted from .rm
but iam getting errors.
it is saying burn process completed successfully(but nothing on CD-R) but then getting a message

data verification started
SAMSUNG CD-R/RW SW-252S
read errors from sector 225 to 374

there r many errors of this same type only difference is the sector range.
from yesturday night it is verifying the compilation. but its not yet done.
i tried 2 times but same errors.
the movie is running good in the media player.
please help

Don't you have to convert the .avi to mpeg before burning to VCD/SVCD?
I don't think you can burn .avi directly with Nero without a plugin. And the
conversion takes a long time.

Could be bad media,try again or a better brand.Do you mean mpg instead of avi?
