i was watching tv last night and my kid asked me to record a show that was on.. i said sure.. i have the ATI AIW 8500 with MMC9.03... anyway i put it on set it to record in dvd quality since i didnt want to mess with it.. anyway.. it started and like 2 min into it this message poped up saying something like.. this broadcast can only be viewed and not recorded.. i was floored.. ive never seen that. it was on fox i think.. anyway.. i changd it to another channel that had the same thing on and it went fine.

anyone ever seen this? i didnt know they could send a signal to my cap card telling it to stop recording.. that just sux.. what about tv on demand etc?

this is analog cable.. and just basic.. and im not using the box.. i have it running right to my ATI card
