Lite On LVD 2001

HI all,
I have had this player now for a long time but I have been noticing that movies I burn on it start to skip while original dvds play fine. The weird thing is, is that most of these movies played fine before but now going back and watching them later they are skipping. I used a lens cleaner and I have the most up to date firmware being 3.02 for it. Any ideas on what to do to get this resolved.


PS: The burned ones play fine on my son's Xbox. Just to rule out the discs

Had the same problem... I did a "tune-up": cleaned the lens with one of them cd/dvd clearers, the one with the little brushes and lubricated the rails with tri-flow lubricant... and so far, it has not skip.

I was told that it also may be that the intensity of the laser has reduced and may need adjustment... I am just quoting since I do not know if it is correct or how do it.

Yeah like I said...i did the lens cleaner part so far...but it only seems to happen with the burned discs and not the store bought dvds. Very weird.
