Philips DVP 624k/69 and ligos enoded mpeg ?

hej peeps ..

I'v bought a DVP 642k/69 ... did the 1109 FM update ....

it plays almost everything cept mpeg encoded with LIGOS
which is anoying ... is there anyways to chang the mpeg to play it ?

and what is the reason it wont play ?

use virtualdub to recode the avi file
reason is this: 642 probably does not support this feature(or codec what is it) it support only divx codecs

thanx .... for that advice ... i tried opening in virtualdub ...error :

so i dunno ..the mpeg plays fine in windows media player ... reports at mpeg2 (svcd)

any other sugestions ?
