    I tried to create a SVCD project with chapters and no menu (ie. no interactivity). It doesn't play at all. I don't want menus, I just want the ability to jump to different points in an SVCD.

    Is a menu required to enable chapter capabilities?

    No it is not. I do it all of the time chapter points and no menu.

    I got it working with a menu. Weird. It wouldn't work without one.

    Hi!
    I think you have to enable PBC (Play back control) if you are going to use chapters in a mpg file. You can create the chapters without the PBC but I don't think you will be able to jump between them when the VCD is running in the DVD.

    Make sure you have marked the PBC box in the main page.
