    I have a JVC mini-DV and the battery has gone tits up after 9 months and 30 hours on the recording head.

    Surely this can't be normal...

    Most batteries are overpriced garbage anymore. My Canon cameras are great...but the batteries truly SUCK. I can tape 45 minutes of video with my brand new Canon DV Cam....
    Yea...the LCD viewfinder is on but still....at least give me a tape's worth of battery please...
