Error while encoding (over 4000%)

Hello,

I encoded a Vob file to xvid (mencoder). I let it.
When I come back, I had no 'progress' app. And the .avi file was corrupted.

I retryed to start the encoding, the progress was very quick - 1% per 5 seconds - and didn't finish the first pass. I stopped it at 4200%
The process seems to be correct. Like others Xvid and no error !

I tryed another vob file : works well.
If anyone know the problem.

Ok. Resolved.
In an other post Major said the progress take from time it think of the movie.
